Counseling
As a clinician, Ellen strives to help clients overcome trauma, personal crisis or ongoing mental and emotional pain. Her goal is to partner with you to help you identify your unique strengths, and then apply those characteristics toward creative solutions.
Parenting Facilitation
Ellen is often court appointed to work with individuals as a Parenting Facilitator. In this role, Ellen works as a neutral third party for high conflict families in order to lead clients on the path of a productive co-parenting partnership.
Consultations
Ellen has been working in high conflict family law cases as a counselor, parenting facilitator, and child custody evaluator since 2010. She understands the ins and outs of the court system. Ellen’s experience and unique skillset allows her to connect with clients and guide them through what can sometimes be a very difficult process.
Adoption Evaluations
Ellen has been appointed to conduct many adoption evaluations since 2011. Typically an adoption evaluation consists of interviews of all parties living in the child’s home environment as well as an actual home visit. Collateral information is also reviewed. An evaluation report is provided to the court in order to help establish the relationship between the child and the adopting parent.
Child Custody Evaluations
Ellen has been conducting child custody evaluations since 2010. The process of a custody dispute is one of the most arduous and stressful situations one may be faced with. As an evaluator, Ellen’s goal is to make sure those involved feel heard. When assessing a study all information is reviewed and considered as well as the strengths each parent has to offer, in order to recommend a possession and access schedule that is in the best interests of their children.
